Bartow Farr was the best presenter of oral arguments in this case, Stevens was very good but not as good as Farr because he was more disputacious, Verrilli day 2  &amp; 3 was the worst.  Note in the testimony where Farr expounded in simple language and at much greater length than any advocate, without interruption.  The Justices seemed to defer to Farr even more than to each other even when he directly refuted the always-entertaining Justice Scalia&#039;s rather overdrawn &quot;heart&quot; argument.  His style was restrained, factual and personable.  Stevens was a smooth and well prepared lecturn pounder who was a touch whiney and often veered off into speculatives and hypotheticals.]]></description>
